My Journey

2018

I became a social media manager for a non-profit thrift store at age 16. I had no idea what I was doing, but it felt natural.

2019

Fell even more in love with small businesses as I  worked at my local skincare + soap store.

2020

Started an internship at a stationary + design studio at the start of the pandemic. Filmed lots and lots of Tik Toks.

2021

Said "I  can do that" to managing email marketing, print materials, label design, and social media management during my second semester of college.

2022

Landed my first-ever Branding Design Client.  Then completed several more within the year.

2023

January | Moved to Utah New Year's Day for an internship at a digital advertising agency.

May | Graduated college majoring in advertising and graphic design. Began working full-time at the advertising agency, and quickly realized the
9-5 life wasn't for me.

September | Took Abi Gwen Designs to the next level as a branding + web design business.

Started Abi Gwen Designs as a way to start my own freelance business... taking on anything and everything from brochures to logos to event calendars.

2024

The possibilities are endless.

Meet my other half

B

I fell in love with a sailor in the middle of Utah of all places. He's my biggest supporter and keeps me balanced. His discipline constantly inspires me to push myself a little further.

After I designed my first website in Adobe Xd and passed it off to the development team at my agency job, I quickly realized I needed to do something more than prototype sites in Figma or Adobe Xd. I told him I  wish he knew how to code so he could build my websites. He started learning CSS the next day.

Although I build my sites 98% without coding, he helps me take them to the next level with snazzy animations.

I  love this guy a whole lot and he does so much for Abi Gwen Designs. We're stoked for this next season of our lives where he will be deployed to the middle east as an Aircraft Handler for the U.S. Navy.
